Sparta Prague could prolong their Champions League campaign with wins in their remaining two matches of the league phase. Lars Friis’ men cannot progress to the round of 16 directly but can through the playoffs.
They first have to get there. The Reds have accumulated just four points and find themselves three points off the playoff places. Sparta haven’t won since their matchday one 3-0 success over visiting Salzburg.
They have lost their last four outings, conceding at least four goals a game three times. The Czech giants were defeated 4-2 away to Feyenoord on matchday six.
In this game, they will be making their first competitive appearance since going into winter break, more than a month ago.
Sparta Prague, coming from winter break, may not be as match-fit as Inter.
Inter did not break for the winter period and with this, should be fitter coming into this game. Simone Inzaghi’s men have been in terrific form and will arrive in the Czech capital fully confident of victory.
The Nerazzurri have lost just once in their last nine outings, and won seven times in this period. Inter defeated Empoli 3-1 at home in domestic league action over the weekend.
In Europe, the Italian giants won four of their opening six matches and are one of six teams with 13 points. A win here could confirm their place in the next round.
Failure to win at least one of their remaining two games and they may be forced to contend with a playoff spot. Inter lost 1-0 away to Bayer Leverkusen on matchday six.

Elias Cobbaut could be ready to go against Inter. The defender didn’t play in Sparta’s most recent match which was a month ago due to injury.
This match comes too soon for Lukas Haraslin, Imanol Garcia and Angelo Preciado who are still in the treatment room.
Victor Olatunji and Albion Rrahmani are both available. The two have scored 17 goals between them with Olatunji netting twice in the Champions League.
Kaan Kairinen is another one to look out for here, as the midfielder has also scored twice in Europe.
Despite being a defender, Denzel Dumfries has been key in attack for Inter.
Lautaro Martinez will lead Inter Milan's onslaught for goals in Prague. The forward has bagged 10 goals this season and was on target over the weekend.
Strike partner Marcus Thuram, who is the club’s leading scorer with 15 goals, was also on target against Empoli.
Denzel Dumfries is enjoying one of his best-scoring seasons with the club and is another exciting player here.
Hakan Calhanoglu and Joaquin Correa remain sidelined with injuries.

Our prediction for Sparta Prague v Inter Milan will be in the goals market and we are backing match to see over 2.5. Sparta Prague possesses one of the most porous defences in Europe this season.
They have conceded 18 goals through six games with three of those matches seeing them let in at least four goals. Given that they haven’t played a competitive match in over a month and are facing an in-form Inter side, another huge scoreline looks likely.
Inter Milan to win
For our second prediction, we pick Inter Milan to win this match. The Italian champions have won four of their last five matches in Europe whereas Sparta Prague are on a four-match losing run in the competition.
