World number 56 Jenson Brooksby will seek another victory against world number 43 Alexandre Muller when they face off in Basel next. This is their second meeting of the season. Read on to find our prediction for this match.
Jenson Brooksby is back in Basel after a three-year hiatus and will be seeking a better showing than on his debut. The American lost in the first round here in 2022.
Brooksby, who is coming off a second-round exit in Shanghai, has compiled a 26-21 record. Despite the shaky record, he has managed some superb performances.
The 24-year-old was crowned champion in Houston and also made the final in Eastbourne. Also a semi-finalist in Tokyo last month, Brooksby has, amongst his wins, a 2-1 success over Muller in Cincinnati.
Alexandre Muller is making his debut in Basel and arrives in desperate need of a win. The Frenchman has found it hard to win matches and has managed just four victories in his last 17 outings.
Currently on a three-match skid, Muller was eliminated in the opening round in Stockholm last time out. He has compiled a 23-26 record. This latest slump has overshadowed a superb start to the season which saw him win his maiden tour title with success in Hong Kong.
