FC Copenhagen will look to halt Borussia Dortmund's scoring spree when the teams meet on matchday three of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League. This match on Tuesday at the Parken Stadium between the 28th-placed Lions and the seventh-placed Die Borussen comes with our prediction of both teams scoring goals. Copenhagen have one point (D1, L1) and are outside the top 24 at this moment, the minimum spot required for knockouts. Dortmund have four points (W1, D1) and are two points away from the six teams above them.
It has been an intriguing start to the league phase for Copenhagen, who held Leverkusen to a 2-2 home draw but lost away at Qarabag on matchday two. Having lost some momentum in the last three competitive matches, they will hope to reclaim their position in the top 24 with a win.
Dortmund are unlikely to bow down and give them a win, especially as they have been on an impressive scoring run in Europe this season. They scored four goals on the first two matchdays, making them one of the most exciting teams to watch. Can they stay unbeaten? Read more to find our analysis, team news, and match predictions.

Copenhagen lost 3-1 away at Silkeborg in the Denmark Superliga on Friday to extend their slump. They are now winless in three matches (D1, L2), a run that started with a 2-0 loss to Qarabag, away from home on matchday two.
That was preceded by a 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen, so the Lions can't be ruled out easily. They have been a stubborn team at home in Europe this season and have three wins and a draw, so Copenhagen could look to turn things around.
Five of Copenhagen's last seven home games produced BTTS.
Dortmund had a 2-1 loss to rivals Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker at the weekend, which was preceded by a 1-1 draw against Leipzig. These results have in a way dampened their hopes, although the morality isn't yet shattered.
The German visitors won 4-1 at home against Athletic Bilbao on matchday two, which was preceded by a thrilling 4-4 draw against Juventus on matchday one. In fact, five wins from their last eight games in all competitions suggest Dortmund are likely to bounce back here with a win.

Formation : 4 - 3 - 3
Formation : 3 - 5 - 2
Copenhagen may have tried a 3-4-3 formation in their latest match, but they have usually lined up in a 4-4-2 system. That could see them start with former Dortmund starlet Youssoufa Moukoko along with Viktor Claesson in the attack.
That's because of the number of injuries sweeping the side, including Mohamed Elyounoussi, Andreas Cornelius, Magnus Mattsson, and Thomas Delaney, among others. Delaney would have loved meeting his old friends from Dortmund on the pitch!
Robert has three goals in the Champions League this season, including qualifiers.
Dortmund will hope to stop him, but their porous defense has struggled to contain Pacey Wingers. That's where their 3-4-3 system has failed to deliver, but there's no question about their capability in the final third.
Serhou Guirassy is likely to lead the line as he looks to build on his performance against Athletic (one goal, one assist). Karim Adeyemi assisted once in that game and has one goal and two assists this season in the Champions League. Their injury absences are Emre Can and Aaron Anselmino.

Borussia Dortmund are coming off a defeat to Bayern Munich but will hope to get back to winning ways in Europe. Their two games in the Champions League have been entertaining, with both matches seeing Dortmund scoring four goals. Copenhagen may struggle to keep the goals low but will fancy their chances of scoring. The Danish hosts have also been in an impressive scoring form at home, which could work to their advantage.
This game could end up with action at both ends. That's why our FC Copenhagen vs Borussia Dortmund prediction is both teams to score.
Borussia Dortmund to win and BTTS
The last two matches for Dortmund aren't a reflection of how their season has been, because they had three consecutive wins before the draw against Leipzig and the loss to Bayern derailed them. This match could be the German team's chance to get back to winning ways. They could do so even if they are likely to concede goals.
