Fighting for survival in the Champions League, Bodo/Glimt face a stern task on Tuesday night when they host Premier League powerhouse Manchester City at the Aspmyra Stadion. The Superlaget are in 32nd place in the League Phase standings, while the Citizens are fourth heading into Matchday 7. Check out our match prediction below!
With three points after six games, Bodo/Glimt trail the top 24 teams in the League Phase of the UCL by four points. While still in the running, they almost certainly need back-to-back wins in their final two games to have a chance of progressing to the Knockout Phase playoffs of the competition.
However, that will certainly not be easy for the home side, as they are set to face Man City this week. The Sky Blues are on 13 points after their six games, five points behind leaders Arsenal, and firmly focused on clinching a top-eight finish to secure their spot directly in the Round of 16. Let’s get into the match prediction!

With the 2026 Eliteserien only scheduled to start in March, this will be Bodo/Glimt’s first competitive match since December 12, when they played out a 2-2 draw against Dortmund in this competition.
The Superlaget have not won a match in the UCL this season, with their three points coming by way of draws against Spurs, Slavia Prague and BVB. Notably, they have scored nine goals in this competition - the most of any of the teams outside the top 24.
The hosts lost two of their three League Phase home games so far (D1), but those were the only defeats they’ve suffered at Aspmyra Stadion in any competition since the end of June last year.
Bodo/Glimt have scored two or more goals in nine of their last 10 home games!
Meanwhile, Manchester City enter this match off the back of a 2-0 defeat in the Manchester Derby over the weekend, which left them seven points off Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
That result marked their first loss since November, when they went down to Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in this competition, a fortnight before they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid on MD6.
The Citizens are unbeaten on the road in the UCL this season (W2 D1) and scored two or more goals in each of those matches. They have only conceded six goals in this competition - the third-fewest to date.

Jens Hague scored the crucial equaliser for Bodo/Glimt on MD6 against Dortmund. He is the team’s leading scorer in this competition with three goals, while he also picked up four assists in qualifying.
Kasper Hogh looked sharp in the Superlaget’s warm-up match against DVTK last week, netting two goals in nine first-half minutes, and he will almost certainly lead the line here alongside Hague.
The hosts have no new injuries to contend with for this match, but they will be without attacker Mathias Jorgensen, who completed his move to Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers last week.
Erling Haaland has scored six goals in five UCL starts this season!
The Norwegian is having another excellent season, now on 26 goals and four assists in 30 games across all competitions. However, he has only netted in one of his last five league matches.
Pep Guardiola mentioned that several of his players including Haaland were ‘exhausted,’ given their bumper-to-bumper schedule. There is a chance City’s talisman could see his minutes managed here with Omar Marmoush now back from the AFCON.
The visitors have a handful of injury absentees, including Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, Savinho, Oscar Bobb, John Stones and Mateo Kovacic, while Nico Gonzalez is flagged as a minor doubt.

While results haven’t exactly gone Bodo/Glimt’s way in this competition, they have carried good attacking threat, as we saw in their last two games when they scored twice against both Dortmund and Juventus.
Man City are unsurprisingly heavily fancied to win this match, but they arrive in Bodo off the back of a very poor performance in the Manchester Derby. The Citizens should come away with the victory here, but we fancy the hosts to get on the scoresheet. Our Bodo/Glimt vs Manchester City prediction is BTTS.
Over 3.5.
Bodo/Glimt’s last two UCL games ended with over 3.5 goals, and they’ve scored two or more goals in nine of their last 10 home matches. Manchester City have scored two or more goals in all three away games in this competition.
