Arsenal come into this game with a lead of just two points after Manchester City beat Fulham on Tuesday. Now the Gunners host tenth-placed Brentford on Wednesday. Read our match prediction below.
Arsenal had to come from behind to draw 1-1 at Chelsea on Sunday. They'll likely be disappointed with that result considering the home side played most of the game with only ten men. It's a difficult game to get out of the way though and Arsenal remain top of the Premier League. They will be going all-out to earn three points here before a difficult away game against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Brentford had to work hard to get a home win over Burnley on Saturday. The Bees may only be tenth in the Premier League but they are just three points behind fifth place and a spot in next season's Champions League. As will be explained in more depth in the form section of this preview, they need to improve their away form. Winning at home is all good and well but more points need to be earned by them on the road to really push on.

Arsenal are yet to lose a home game in this season’s Premier League. In fact, only Manchester City have come away from the Emirates this season with a league point. The Gunners have won five out of six home league fixtures with 16 goals scored and just two conceded.
Each of their last three home league games has been won, most recently an impressive 4-1 win over Spurs. They also beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Arsenal's draw at Chelsea extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 17 games.
A long wait for an away win against Arsenal.
It's 87 years since Brentford last won an away game against Arsenal. That was back at the old Highbury stadium. Brentford had lost four in a row to the Gunners before last April's 1-1 draw at the Emirates.
Brentford have only avoided defeat in one of their six away league games this season. Their only away victory came at West Ham United. The other five fixtures have all been lost and Brentford have only scored six away league goals this term.

William Saliba missed Arsenal's away game at Chelsea on Sunday. He will be assessed on Monday to see just how bad his injury is and whether he will be able to take any part in this game against Brentford. The Gunners are already without Gabriel who's not expected to play this month.
An important trio are on their way back for Arsenal.
Leonardo Trossard and Kai Havertz are also doubts for this game but it's definitely not all bad news for the Gunners. Martin Odegaard, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke have returned to fitness and will be in contention for Wednesday's starting line-up.
Brentford currently have Reiss Nelson on loan from Arsenal. Under the terms of that deal he cannot play against Arsenal. That's not too big a blow for the Bees as he hasn't been a first-team regular.
Igor Thiago scored twice for Brentford on Saturday making it 11 Premier League goals for him this season. He will want to be more of a force on the road though and definitely not miss a penalty as he did in Brentford's last away game.
A back-five could well be used by Brentford for this game as they try to cope with the constant Arsenal attacks.

Arsenal can't afford any slip-up in this home game against Brentford. They were held to a draw at the weekend and will want to get back into winning ways against Brentford. Seven goals have been scored in their last two home games, including beating Bayern Munich 3-1.
Brentford continue to be a difficult side to defeat on home soil. It's a different story on their Premier League travels with five defeats already this season. Another tough away fixture awaits them here and our main Arsenal v Brentford prediction is Arsenal wins and leads at half and full time.
