There's midweek action in the Scottish Premiership this week kicking off on Wednesday as Aberdeen host St. Mirren at Pittodrie. The Dons have found some better form of late under Jimmy Thelin after a very poor start, but the opposite is true for the Saints who have lost all their last three league games. Heading into this fixture, Aberdeen's much better recent form has moved them up the table. The Dons now lie in seventh position in the table with 17 points from their 13 league games. In contrast, St. Mirren have been falling down the table on the back of their poorer recent form and they now lie second-bottom in eleventh place with ten points from their 13 games.
Aberdeen now boast an unbeaten run of six games in all competitions. That run includes a 1-0 home win over leaders Hearts, which was followed by a 1-1 draw against Noah in the Europa Conference League last week. Then at the weekend, the Dons earned a 1-0 win over Livingston on the road to extend their unbeaten run.
It's a very different story for St. Mirren with the Saints losing all their last three games. The first two defeats both came at home, a 3-0 reverse against Hibernian and then a 1-0 defeat against Celtic. They could not improve that record when they travelled to Dundee at the weekend and were beaten 3-1 by the home team.
